Overview

We are seeking a motivated and talented entry level engineer interested in a structural, mechanical, water resources, or civil engineering career in Boise, Idaho. Are you interested in gaining career experience providing multi-disciplinary design solutions over a wide range of engineering projects?

With QRS, you would have the opportunity to be a contributing member of in-house multi-disciplinary design teams to provide design solutions for water resources, fisheries, and civil design related projects. Typical projects include fish passage, fish screening, stream restoration, irrigation infrastructure, water storage and conveyance, fish hatchery, water use efficiency, floodplain risk management, hydraulic analysis, redevelopment, and general civil design components.

We are looking for a new graduate with a relevant Engineering Degree to join our team. In this role, you will assist project managers in preparing engineering design drawings and specifications, while gaining valuable field experience.

What Do We Provide:

  • Fun and challenging work.
  • Compensation is expected to range from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, DOE, with additional profit sharing bonus opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

Engineering: Engineering internship experience and a desire to gain progressive design experience. In this role, you'll work on multi-disciplinary projects from inception through construction for a wide range of clients. Periodic travel for on-site inspections and evaluations is required.

Marketing Experience: Interest in developing client rapport.

Responsibilities will include some or all of the following under the guidance of our Project Managers:

  • Performance in multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Engineering analysis, including modeling and calculations.
  • Drawing production, including drafting and redline production.
  • Specification writing.
  • Site visits and project inspections, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Production of alternatives analyses, construction drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
  • Provide engineering support services during construction activities.
  • Other engineering related tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering Certification.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in the English language.
  • Knowledge in the use of design codes.
