Overview
We are seeking a motivated and talented Modeler/Drafter interested in a career modeling for our water resources or engineering staff in Boise, Idaho. Are you interested in gaining career experience providing multi-disciplinary design solutions over a wide range of engineering projects?
With QRS, you would have the opportunity to be a contributing member of in-house multi-disciplinary design teams to provide design solutions for water resources, fisheries, and civil design related projects. Typical projects include fish passage, fish screening, stream restoration, irrigation infrastructure, water storage, water conveyance, fish hatchery, water use efficiency, floodplain risk management, hydraulic analysis, redevelopment, and general civil design components.
We are looking for a modeler/drafter with at least 2 years of experience to join our team of designers. In this role, you will assist Project Managers and engineers in preparing engineering design drawings and 3D models.

What Do We Provide:

Compensation is expected to range from $60,000 to $95,000+ per year, DOE, with additional profit sharing bonus opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Design Experience: Associate degree in computer-aided Drafting or equivalent. More than 2 years of design and/or modeling experience. Experience with Water Resources/Structural/Mechanical Engineering drawings and standards is preferred. Successful applicants will effectively work with other staff to convert engineering designs into construction plans.
Industry Experience: AutoCAD design and drafting experience. Experience working with project managers, designers, and subcontractors to produce and modify drawings. Ability to adapt to varying client drafting standards.

Responsibilities will include some or all of the following under the guidance of our Project Managers:

Performance in multi-disciplinary design teams.

Lead the drafting efforts for a variety of engineering projects, primarily in AutoDesk products including AutoCAD MEP, and Inventor.

Drawing production, designing, modeling, drafting, and performing redline markups.

3D modeling of various project features, systems, and components.

Follow and maintain QRS and client drafting standards.

Other design, modeling, and drafting related tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoDesk products including AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and Inventor.

Associate degree in computer aided Drafting or equivalent.

More than 2 years of experience. Experience in consulting is preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication in the English language.
